We will become space stars this half term, with our art theme of ‘Stargazers’. Through the medium of art, we will journey through space, the final frontier, navigate beyond the Sun, the magnificent, blazing star at the centre of our Solar System. We will also investigate the eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune and created wonderful masterpieces from what we have learnt. Throughout this our art topic, we will study a range of different and diverse artists, who use space as their artistic focus. Our English units will be based around our Love to Read text, Cosmic, by Frank Cottrel-Boyce, which links to our space theme perfectly!

In maths, we will be securing our understanding of measurement- perimeter and area, multiplication and division and properties of shape.

Reading at home every night and practising your spellings and timetables on TT Rockstars continue to remain a priority so please make sure you are spending time each evening focusing on these key areas - a little extra practise goes a very long way and your efforts will be rewarded!
