I’m Russell Evans and I joined the governing body in 2011, originally as a Parent Governor. I live very close to the school in Trench and I genuinely feel blessed to have had all 4 of my children attend this lovely school.  I feel very strongly about supporting the school which took such good care of my children’s education and development.  My youngest daughter is now also a pupil here and I, as a governor and a parent, want to achieve the best school experience for her and all of our current and future students.

I’m particularly proud of the values and ethos that exist in our school - our children’s academic and social development is very important.   The energy and commitment of our head teacher and all of the staff in delivering that is fantastic.  As a result, I find being a governor a very interesting and rewarding role.    Our governing body here works collectively to monitor, evaluate and challenge the school’s progress towards achieving our aims and objectives.

Since becoming a member of staff,  I feel privileged to be in a balanced position to appreciate the views and needs of both parents and staff.  I am currently the staff governor.
