Our theme for Autumn 1 is Pharaohs! This will be a history focused unit based around Ancient Egypt and filled with exciting opportunities along the way. 

English: 

We will be looking poetry and mystery stories and even having a go at writing our own!

Our quality text this half term will be Secrets of a Sun King by Emma Carroll

Maths:

This half term we will be focusing on developing the children's knowledge in the following areas: place value; addition and subtraction; multiplication and division.

Science:

Excitingly, we get to explore evolution and inheritance using a range of different experiments. 

RE:

Creation and science: conflicting or complimentary?

This is our big question for RE which we will be able to answer by the end of the half term.

PE: 

Outdoor PE will be football this half term, learning lots of new skills. Indoor PE will be, health related exercise, which will help us keep our bodies healthy!

MFL:

We will be learning French as our modern foreign language with a focus on “Getting to know you” and “Let’s visit a French town”.
