This half term, we are focusing on a design and technology unit based on textiles. We will be having great fun designing and making our own Christmas stockings!

English:

We will be starting the half term exploring free verse poetry.  Then we are looking at instructions and adventure stories.

Love to Read:

Our quality text this half term will be A Christmas Carroll by Charles Dickens.

Maths:

This half term we will be focusing on developing the children's knowledge in the following areas: addition and subtraction; multiplication and division; length and perimeter. We will also be practising our times tables every day. 

Science:

Excitingly, we will be conducting lots of experiments to investigate the properties of light.

RE:

What happens at a Gurdwara? This is our big question for RE and we will answer it this half term whilst exploring many different religions.

PSHEE:

This half term we will be discussing our hopes and dreams.

PE:

Outdoor PE will be hockey this half term, learning lots of new skills! And indoor PE will be dance which will help us with our rhythm! PE days are Mondays and Thursdays.

MFL:

We will be learning French as our modern foreign language with a focus on 'letters and numbers'.
