Our theme for the first half of the autumn term is The Great Greeks!

This will be a history focused unit based around Ancient Greece and filled with exciting opportunities along the way.  We are really looking forward to our memorable experience during the first week, as we all be competing in our own mini Olympic Games, listening to traditional Greek music from the time and doing some amazing art work designing our own Greek inspired pots.

English:

We will be exploring Ancient Greek Myths and Legends during English this half term and will be having a go at writing our very own!

Maths

This half term, we will be focusing on developing the children's knowledge in the following areas: place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division. We will also be learning and practising our 3, 4 and 8 times tables every day. Practising TT Rockstars at home every day will really help with our focus on times tables this half term!

Science:

During science this half term, we will be exploring different states of matter by conducting lots of different and exciting experiments!

RE:

Our Big Question for RE this half term is: Living in Harmony - How do we show we care? This unit of work fits in beautifully with our Christian value of this half term: Compassion.

PE:

Outdoor PE will be football this half term. Our indoor PE session will focus on health-related exercise, where we will learn lots of different fitness techniques to help keep our bodies healthy!

Computing:

During our computing lessons this half term, we will be learning about the internet and how to use search engines effectively. We will also investigate how reliable some information is on the internet!

PSHEE:

Our unit for this half term is Relationships, where we will explore what makes a good friend.
