English: 

We will be exploring explanation texts, letter writing and some fantastic visual literacy through a short animation called 'The Pin Man.'

Love to Read:

Our quality text this half term will be Ottoline and the Yellow Cat, by Chris Riddell. 

Maths:

This half term we will be focusing on developing the children's knowledge in the following areas: place value; shape; multiplication and division.  We are also starting to explore time and data.

Science:

We will be looking at developing our scientific skills using a range of different experiments and becoming geologists through our fantastic topic, 'Rocks'.

ART:

Tying in fantastically with our Science unit, is this half terms topic focus - Art. We will be learning all about 'Fantastic Fossils' creating art pieces using a variety of different mediums from sketching and painting to clay sculpture. 

RE:

Who is Guru Nanak and why is he important to Sikh people?

This is our big question for RE which we will be able to answer by the end of the half term.

PE: 

Outdoor PE will be tennis this half term and indoor PE will be gymnastics, which will help us with our balance and flexibility!

This half terms PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

MFL:

We will be learning French as our modern foreign language with a focus on 'Food, Glorious Food'.
